The poker training site Bluefire Poker has grown rapidly in the past year, buoyed by the success of its top two pros, Phil “OMGClayAiken” Galfond and 2010 November Nine member Jason Senti.  The poker training site offers training videos from top online pros without DRM, meaning that you can watch them whenever and wherever you want.  Recently, the site announced the addition of five new coaches, all of which are part of its official sit and go team.

This announcement comes on the heels of a website overhaul that offers a much better layout and graphical interface for users.  Previously thought of as a site specializing in No Limit Hold’em and Pot Limit Omaha cash games, Bluefire Poker is now making waves in the sit and go community.  It appears by making this signing that Bluefire Poker is branching out to become a all-around poker training site to compete with the bigger names in the space.

Here are the new instructors added to the Bluefire Poker stable of coaches:

Andy “Raizin Azian” Carlson: A guy known for living a family life and having passions outside of the world of poker.  Mainly plays at Full Tilt Poker and is one of the top performers in this space.

Ryan “DieBanksters” Peterson: This grinder started playing sit and gos only a year ago after taking a long break from poker and immediately became one of the best single-table sit and go players online.

Brian “bfizz” Fite: This multi-table sit and go player and has been compared to the very best in the 180-man games.  He was one of the top players in 2010 on many leaderboards and won several monthly and weekly races.

Darin “DarinVG” Van Gammeran: A longtime sit and go veteran, he’s been coaching for a while as well.  He’s a high-volume grinder who has not one, not two, but three PokerStars SuperNova campaigns under his belt.

Chip “z32fantastic” Ferguson: One of the top online poker sit and go coaches, he has produced a lot of content for a handful of other poker training sites.  Many have described Ferguson as one of the most sought-after sit and go instructors around.

Bluefire Poker offers a free seven-day free trial and also has a presence on Facebook and Twitter.  The site has a section dedicated to its instructors, so if you want to learn more about these coaches or the other ones on the roster, you can check out their bios with ease.  The video section allows you to filter by author, game type, stakes, teaching method, video type, and language.  Videos are released regularly.

All of the instructors tend to post blogs rather regularly and some even interact with students on the site and leave comments.  The real place where people interact with each other is on the forums, which are nicely populated and broken out by “About Bluefire Poker,” “Poker Strategy,” and “Discussion.”  Other areas include specific discussion about games like small-stakes No Limit Hold’em and Pot Limit Omaha.

Bluefire Poker offers one-month subscriptions for $29.99 with a $99 sign-up fee.  If you pay for six months in advance, you’ll shell out $249 and if you decide to go for a whole year, there is one flat fee of $399.
